Statement of Intent

An intention of the Brown Road Artist Studios is to make a significant contribution towards the establishment of Capstan Village as a designated Arts District by:
􀁸 diversifying the range of arts activities and opportunities in the Village, and
􀁸 providing a meaningful contribution towards a varied, dynamic and artful public realm and streetscape.

The studios are designed with large, floor-to-ceiling windows fronting onto the street in order to facilitate window displays of artworks (produced in the studios) and allow for public viewing of work underway within them. Studios also include exclusive use of publicly accessible outdoor area(s) suitable for temporary displays.

Permitted uses include the display and sale of works created in the studio as well as related uses and activities such as exhibition openings and events.

With this intention and permitted uses in mind, in 200 words or less, please describe why you are a good fit for the Brown Road Artist Studios.
